Ari
Founder & Stylist
Ari created Fig & Clover in 2010 with hopes to give her clients an intimate salon experience.

Ari aims to create a safe environment for all clients and provide a space for unique self expression and original hair design. We love being surrounded by artists, great restaurants, locally owned shops and a supportive culture, which is so much a part of north Oakland.
Fig & Clover is not just another salon - it's about being part of a community and creating a respectful and safe environment for everyone.
Hair Stylist
Lauren never thought she could love her job so much. She is passionate about exploring her clients' personal style and constantly pursuing outside education to bring inspiration and creative energy back into the Salon.
Allegra
Hair Stylist
Allegra is known for her creative color and Balayage. Her bohemian aesthetic paired with her attention to detail leaves clients with hair that looks beautiful and effortless.

Ruby
Hairdresser
Hailing from outside of LA, Ruby has lived in the Bay Area for the past decade, and uses the creative, organic grit of Oakland as her main inspiration for doing hair. Versatility and creativity is where she thrives, having been thoroughly trained in every haircutting tool — whether it be scissors, razors, or clippers. She is a lover of art and the written word and this imaginative eye lends itself to creating any style. Her main goal is to work with the client to affirm their aesthetic, as well as enhance it.
Sophia
Hair Stylist
Sophia is a queer artist and hair stylist from LA. Her speciality is bright, vivid colors and low maintenance, wash & wear cuts that work with people’s natural texture and hair growth patterns to look great with no or minimal styling. She loves how working with hair is collaborative, like a conversation between stylist, client and the hair.

Hannah
Nail Technician
I’m Hannah (sounds like Hanukah), my pronouns are she/her. I'm a queer independent licensed nail technician and nail artist. I specialize in custom nail art, natural nail health, and long-lasting gel manicures. I especially love doing art inspired by jewelry, textile prints, and nature. I love nails because they're special, personalized skin-suit decorations that can help us feel more at home in our bodies. Plus I love a good click-clack. In addition to nails, I also work in public health STD prevention (ask me about antibiotic-resistant gonorrhea). FYI- I do nails about 1 day a week and have limited appointment availability.
Sam
Nail Technician
I've has been doing nails since 2021 and specializes in gel, structured gel and nail art. I love organic shapes, all over patterns, opals and anything holographic. When I'm not doing nails, I enjoy sci-fi and mysteries, making jokes and filming her kitty. Check out my work on IG: @gimmeclaws.

Nail Technician
Hi I’m Lesley! I’ve been studying and creating some form of art most of my life but recently became an independent licensed nail technician as of 2023, specializing in hand painted art. I like to focus on natural nail health and offer structured gel manicure services to help get your nails growing to the length of your desire. Can’t wait to hold hands!
